About the Artist

I was raised in the northwestern corner or Colorado where I was lucky enough to spend my childhood drawing and playing outdoors. In 2007 I graduated from Colorado State University with a bachelor's degree of Art. Since then, I've been working as a cowboy, mule packer, hunting guide, and a whole lot of other jobs across the Rocky Mountain west.

My adventures in the wilderness serves as the main source of inspiration for my digital paintings. While everything is drawn and planned on paper by hand, I've discovered that painting digitally allows for much more freedom and flexibility. A life in the saddle and living in wall tents doesn't allow much time in a traditional studio space.

My work has been selected for the juried shows AFTER at & Gallery in Durango, CO and Shock of the New West at the Tubac Center of the Arts in Tubac, AZ. My original illustrations have graced the pages of Alpinist Magazine and the Backcountry Hunters and Anglers. Other original artwork has found homes with collectors all over the country.
